New roller coaster that sends you 20 mph. Face First Fall

The 335-foot Falcon’s Fury, opens this spring at Busch Gardens Tampa .The Fury offers a thrill no other ride does: a 60-mph, face-first free fall.

1) Slow brake

After about 100 feet of free fall, magnets in the seats interact with raised metal strips on the sides of the tower. That attraction slows the descent and allows riders to swing back upright as they glide to a stop.

2) Custom harnesses

Designers modified a standard roller-coaster harness with an extra-thick cushion around the waist to support riders’ weight comfortably as they lie flat.

3) Hurricane-ready steel

The tower’s hollow steel construction has about three feet of give in any direction, allowing it to withstand the occasional Floridian tropical storm.

4) Extra-deep foundation

Engineers drove 105 steel support beams as deep as 205 feet into the ground and fused them together with a concrete cap. A four-foot-thick base secures the steel tower to the foundation.

5) 90-degree tilting seats

Once riders reach the top of the Falcon’s Fury, air compressors pull the seats from the bottom, tilting riders 90 degrees so that they’re staring nearly 300 feet straight down.

It as the height of 335 feet, it can sit 32 seats per ride, and the speed of 60 mph.

This ride may be scary but is safe as can be.

Digital Orginazations

Digital Orginazation to me is organizing your web sites and infornmation in an easy way.

Web 2.0 Tool

1)I would use the Plagarism tool;the class i would use it for is World History and the teacher is Ms.Garvin
2)I would use it on my research papers so I have proof that I do not plagarise.
3)It would teach me how to use my own work and not use information word by word on the internet.

Robotic Cubes That Stack Themselves

• M-Blocks look unassuming, but they can pivot and jump without external moving parts—a feat engineers have been trying to accomplish for years.
• Because they’re mobile, the robotic cubes can stack on top of one another autonomously.
• Their inventors are now working toward the ultimate goal: programming them to combine into a larger, adaptable robot that performs tasks.

Article Response

The Article is very helpful in making me make cautious decisions over the internet. The stuff they are saying is true and may help improve any ones reputation. Developing your online reputation is very important and can show people the type of person you are. Droping F bombs are also a very cautious thing to do because buisnesses could see it and change the way they think of you. Selfies also show the type of person you are. Taking selfies every day and posting them are a very annoying thing to do and could show you as a annoying person. The internet is a very open place to be and can make you think twice before making a move.

A Way To Harvest Hydroelectric Energy From Toilet Flushes

• The average American flushes 24 gallons of water down the toilet daily
• Now some of the energy used in a flush could be put to an additional use.
• A team of researchers in South Korea have created a transducer that translates water motion—from toilets, raindrops, or other water-based uses—into electricity.
• The technical side is wonky, but essentially, by using the motion from a tiny droplet of water—30 micro liters—the team was able to power a small green LED.

Red Lobster

Red Lobster
Secaucus NJ 07094

Red lobster is my favorite place to eat. Its a restaraunt that I could easly say " I can eat this anytime any day." No matter how many times I go I don't get tired of it. The atmosphere is great and the entrance is very unique. They are known for having live crabs in an aquarium in the entrance. The customer service is great. The staff is very freindly and whenever something goes wrong its is quickly fixed.
Red lobster serves mostly seafood. My favorie on the menu is the cajun shrimp alfredo pasta. There are also foods like steak, chicken, ect. The drinks are the normal Coke, Sprite , Mountain Dew and ect. There are also alcoholic drinks but you need to be the age limit. Before eating they give you garlic biscuts baskets with butter on the side. This usually keeps everyone busy while they think about the food they are ordering. The appetizers are also amazing. They are mostly affiliated with seafood wich keeps the theme of the restaurant.
The restarant was founded by Bill Darden. When he was 19 he opened the Green Frog. He mainly focused on quality and service throught the lifetime of the Green Fog. He had a passion for seafood so in 1968 he opended the first Red Lobster in 1968 Lakeland, Florida. As time went by Red Lobster continued to grow and more and more were created around the counrty. In 1995 Red Lobster along with Olive Garden and Bahama Breeze  became a part of the Darden Restaurants.  In 2005 he turned restaraunt over to the CEO Clarence Otis. Red Lobster has still continues to bring people in after 50 years of service.

A Pacemaker Powered By Heartbeats

• A pacemaker’s battery needs to be swapped out about every five to eight years, requiring surgery.
• Engineers are now working on a device that converts the mechanical energy of a beating heart into electrical energy and could last indefinitely.
• A prototype tested in farm animals has generated a microwatt of power, enough to keep a pacemaker going.

Over the past 12 years, as the major war effort of both the United States and the United Kingdom has been fighting small groups of insurgents that operate in civilian areas, weapons engineers placed a heavy emphasis on the latter two strategies.MBDA Missile Systems revealed last Friday that MQ-9 Reaper drones successfully fired Brimstone missiles, an evolution of the more familiar Hellfire missile currently fired from Predator and Reaper drones, in several tests this past winter. The goal is to develop a more accurate missile that causes less collateral damage.

Do Now: Invisibility

If I was invisible for a day I would  help make the world a wonderful place. I would rob banks and give the money to the children of Africa. This would be good because  they are very unforunate to live a life they were born into. I would also donate the money to cancer foundations. This would help research medicine for a cure. I will kill all the pedophiles and molestors. This can help make the world a safer place. I would help senior citizen cross the street. I will find peoples  lost valued treasure. I will burn all cigaretts.
I would stop littering. Littering has killed lots of animals and made the world dirty and ugly. I would also reduce, reuse, and recycle. This would help save lives and conserve resources. I would save all abused animals. Animal abuse is wrong and they don't deserve it. I would also stop animal experimentation. They dont have much control over what happens to them. Life would be better If I could be invisible for a day.
